Getting to and from Karori is easy. There is an excellent public transport service with buses which run regularly between Karori and the city. With the addition of designated bus lanes, commuting times have been dramatically reduced.

There are also several taxi companies who operate in Wellington and there is a taxi stand outside the Karori Mall, on Karori Road.

There are further plans afoot to implement street lights at several of the main intersections in Karori to help ensure safer and more efficient movement of traffic.
